Are you speaking your prospect’s language?

I’m going to ask you to put on your prospect eyes for a moment….no I’m not going to pitch you!!  (Though, I do have a GREAT opportunity!! lol)  I want you to think like a prospect, or if you can, remember what it was like for you when you were still a prospect for your current sponsor/s.  Did they say things the RIGHT way for you?  Did they know what about their product/company/opportunity would be appealing to you?  Have you had some potential sponsors that just didn’t understand you?  Or some that have really cheesed you off right from the get go?  Do you know how they did it?

Chances are, the people that recruited you worked out your personality type and then approached you accordingly.  Of course, you can only do that if you have gotten to know your prospect, at least a little.  It really amuses me all of these “aggressive” network marketers.  You know the ones…all you ever see in their Facebook status updates are pitches.  No building of relationships, no getting to know their potential prospects and what’s important to them.  If makes me wonder, if that is the approach that these people take, what support are they going to be to their new recruit when it comes to training?  If they don’t know what is important to their recruits, how can they encourage them to achieve their dreams and goals…their WHY’s?  I am going to be pretty blunt here folks – IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU, YOUR PRODUCTS, YOUR COMPANY OR YOUR OPPORTUNITY.  It is ALL about your prospect.  In reality, they don’t really care if you have been successful or not, what matters to them is finding out if they can be successful and what role you will play in helping them be successful.

To do this, you need to identify the personality type of your prospect.  One of the most valuable tools we have been trained in recently is personality colours.  You may or may not be aware of them…even if you are, it is still worth reviewing them.  In my next lot of blogs, I will be covering the 4 different types, how to spot them, their likes & dislikes and how to talk to them in their language.

I hope you are finding these posts helpful – would also love some feedback as to areas that you would find of interest or where you may need some assistance.

To your success, Sharon
